Bollywood Actresses

Some of the world's most popular or famous actresses have had a start
in the Bollywood movie industry. Many of the women in this industry
are pursued because of their beauty and their talent. It has been
reported that several Bollywood movie stars that have started in
several Hindu films are now being sought out by American producers.

One of Bollywood's more popular actresses is Preity Zinta. This
beautiful actress first began her career as a model. It was her
performance in the Liril that first caught the attention of Shekkar
Kapur. Her first film was "Tara ram Pum Pum". However, this film was
never completed. Her first real move hit the big screen in 2000 and
was labeled as a surprised hit by many critics.

Another of Bollywood's major movie stars is Rani Mukherjee. Unlike
Preity Zinta, Rani was born into the Bollywood movie industry and
caught her first big break shortly after finishing high school. Rani's
first film was produced in 1996, and even though the movie itself was
no a huge success, her performance did catch the attention of many of
Bollywood's directors and producers. Since that time Rani has starred
in numerous movies, some of which have been great successes, while
others did poorly at the box office. Nevertheless Rani has not looked
back since setting her sights on a movie career in Bollywood.

Kajol, a cousin of Rani was yet another actress that was born into the
movie industry. She first began her acting career in 1992. Her first
movie was not a huge success but she has since starred in several of
Bollywood's top grossing movies. Most of her success has come since
2000 or later.

Shilpa Shetty is a famous bollywood actress who caused controversy
firstly in the British Celebrity Big Brother where she was a victim of
racism, however she did win the competition. Also Richard Gere tried
to kiss her as a joke, which is frowned upon by the Indian Community.
This caused much uproar. She has been in over 50 films.
